Ranbir Kapoor To Shoot For A Groovy Number In Mr Lele, Makers To Shoot The Song This Week

Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan’s comic thriller Mr Lele just got more glam factor to it. Starring Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar, the makers have roped in Ranbir Kapoor for a hot and happening music track. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the actor will shoot for the dance number from Wednesday. The song is composed by Tanishk Bagchi and Rochak Kohli, and will be shot in Mumbai’s Mehboob studio. Ganesh Acharya has choreographed the dance number, while designer Manish Malhotra has styled the actor’s look for the same.
The portal reported, "Karan and Shashank were keen to rope in Ranbir for the track. Ranbir is very close to Karan. Apart from acting in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, Ranbir has acted in KJo's directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. It’s a peppy song in Mr Lele which will be shot at Mehboob Studios from Wednesday. Ranbir has been rehearsing for it there over the last few days. It’s a solo track and is being choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. The song is a catchy number which will see Ranbir gyrating to some massy grooves and styled by Manish Malhotra."
Ranbir’s this dance number will be a highlight of the movie, adds the portal’s report. “Vicky was in the Maldives shooting for the adventure series, Into The Wild in Maldives with Bear Grylls. Ranbir is a fantastic dancer and his track will be one of the highlights of the movie. The shooting is almost over except for some patchwork left with Vicky in October,” read the report.
The crew had booked the entire RoRo boat commuting passengers between Mumbai and Alibaug for climax shot and a song featuring Vicky and Kiara. Most of the film is shot in Mumbai, Vicky shot for some romantic scenes in Pondicherry. The film went on floors in April but went on hold as Vicky and Bhumi tested positive for COVID-19. Followed by the movie getting delayed with the country imposing lockdown 2.0 in 2021, the crew ultimately shot for a 10-day schedule in a bungalow in Andheri. They later shot for 40 days at various locations in Mumbai.
Mr Lele is a story of a guy played by Vicky who is caught between his suspicious wife played by Bhumi and a colleague played by Kiara Advani. Also, the title is said to be a tentative title and might change in future. Following Mr Lele's wrap up director Shashank Khaitan is said to kickstart his next.
